KRISTIN GREENACRE, BA BEd RAc
Kristin’s career as a health care practitioner began with her own search for optimal health through natural & alternative therapies. Kristin was introduced to acupuncture as a means of managing insomnia. Amazed with the results those first few needles had on her sleep pattern and overall health, she was inspired to dedicate herself to the study and practice of acupuncture.
Kristin is a Registered Acupuncturist, licensed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). She graduated from the 3-year Diploma in Acupuncture program at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. After graduation her studies brought her to Massachusetts, where she completed a 2-year Clinical Integration program with renowned Chinese medicine teacher & practitioner Lonny Jarrett.
Kristin uses acupuncture and supporting modalities, such as moxibustion & cupping, to promote natural healing. Though her primary focus is women’s health – regulating menstruation, promoting fertility, supporting healthy pregnancies, and managing menopause symptoms naturally – over the years her practice has expanded to address a wide range of conditions such as sports injuries, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, allergies, addictions, nervous system deficiencies, insomnia, digestive disorders and stress.
Chinese medicine considers the whole self in treatment, not just the symptoms. By focusing on the root cause of the body’s disharmony, we are able to create a domino effect that reverberates out to address healing at all levels. It is Kristin’s aspiration to help support patients on their journeys toward balance and the continual cultivation of health and happiness. Kristin lives in Ottawa with her husband and their children.
